Child development and protection are both important aspects of the League’s commitment to children. Kids on the Block is a national program for elementary-aged children administered locally by the League to Bay District Schools. The program addresses age-appropriate topics that are important to the emotional and physical development of children and is implemented through the use of hand-crafted puppets and scripts. This year, the League will perform puppet shows in several elementary schools addressing issues such as water safety, nutrition, and healthy snacking.
